Week 4

February 25 - March 3, 2013

Took a pregnancy test on Thursday, 2/28/2013 just because I was talking to Matt about not having a normal cycle and how it was weird. He actually told me to take a test. Got a pregnant right away. Was actually momentarily confused as I used a digital test and I wondered why the “not” didn’t show up. Took second test and got same results. Still having mild cramping, discharge with very light spotting, fatigue, sore breasts and night sweats.

2/25/2013 - Monday - heavier spotting. Called MD to report onset of period. (Had yet to take test)

2/27/2013 - Wednesday - Started clomid Rx. 100mg per day - still light spotting

2/28/2013 - Thursday - Second day of clomid - realized still only spotting - took two pregnancy tests both were positive!

3/1/2013 - Friday - Called IVF Dr. and OBGYN to report pregnancy and check on clomid. Left messages with all nurses. Spoke to Robin with USF IVF - Scheduled HCG blood tests.

3/2/2013 - Saturday - HCG blood test at Quest Diagnostic

3/3/2013 - Sunday - Test results not ready - will call on Monday - Took another pregnancy test still positive.

February 18 - 24, 2013

Sweating at night. Waking up soaked and cold. Spotting and very small amount of bleeding. Thought it was a period. Mild cramping, but one of my indicators that the spotting was not a normal period was that I never had the normal cramping associated with my cycle. Also fatigue and very sore boobs.

2/18/2013 - Monday - called Dr. office to confirm I received the voicemail instructions from previous day.

2/21/2013 - Thursday - started slight spotting. Waited for onset of period

2/23/2013 - Saturday - still spotting, very sore breasts, fatigue, irritable

2/24/2013 - Sunday - Ran Disney Princess Half Marathon, fatigue, sore breasts, spotting

1-2 Weeks

Weeks 1-2

February 4 -17, 2013

02/08/2013 - Friday - Dr. Appt. with Drs Plosker and Chuong. Vaginal ultrasound revealed 41 follicles on right ovary. Had not yet ovulated on 22nd day of cycle. Dr. gave several recommendations. Because of good follicle numbers, current eggs do not require a hurried situation for IVF and other treatments. Decision was made to proceed with blood tests to indicate whether ovulation occurred. Planned blood test for following Friday, 02/15/2013. Have sex. Will check for ovulation on the blood test day. Will then await start of next period. Rx for Clomid 100mg given to be filled and taken on days 3-7 of next period.

2/12/2013 - Tuesday -  Clomid Rx ready at CVS

2/13-14/2013 - Wednesday and Thursday - Matt out of town

2/17/2013 - Sunday -  Voicemail from Dr. Office:

Joy from USF - Dr. Plosker: Progesterone showed that you ovulated - 4.7. Wait for onset of your period. Take no medications. Wait until period starts then call 259-0603 to report cycle day one to go over Clomid instructions.
