Week 27

Week 27
May 9-15

Author's Note: I know I am WAY WAY far behind on these. I am going to catch up, I promise.

On May 8th, Popi and Aunt Andrea arrived in town for a visit. We did a lot of shopping at places like Ikea and the outlet malls. Bea LOVED the outlet mall as there were lots of people to see her and talk to her. She would do this fake cough and get someone's attention and then when she made eye contact she would just grin. It was cracking her Popi up. I could even hear her fake cough from the back of the store a couple times.

A message for Daddy during bath time.

A family portrait on Mother's Day.

Flipping around with Popi.
We have a future gymnast on our hands.

May 11th, was my first Mother's Day. I started the day before church giving Bea a bottle with my other "babies" on either side of me in the chair.

After church we had a little photo session with Popi and Aunt Andrea.

LOVE.

LOVE TOO!

Mommy and Bea. Mother's Day 2014

Aunt Andrea and Beezy.

That evening there was a free concert in the park downtown with the Florida Symphony Orchestra.
Matt and I packed a picnic and a blanket and really enjoyed relaxing with Bea. The weather was perfect for an evening concert. It was an excellent way to wrap up my first Mother's Day.

Later that week we made our usual errands:

Publix grocery shopping.

Fighting being rocked for a nap.

Swordplay.

LOVE LOVE this smile.

This was my first Mother's Day and my first Mother's Day without my Momma. It's such a bittersweet feeling. Bea makes a lot of those feelings more sweet than bitter - but, it's still not easy. I do the best by remembering what my mom would say to me. She'd tell me, "Enjoy It". And so I will.

I hear her voice in my head daily and her wisdom is always sound.

Matt and Bea gave me the heart necklace for Mother's Day. The inscription on it says: "A Mother holds her child's hand for a short while and their hearts forever."
