Week 32

Week 32
June 13 - 19

We spent week 32 in Puerto Morelos, Mexico.

Bea had her first international flight. Luckily it was a nonstop flight directly from Tampa. She did GREAT. We made it to Mexico and she fell asleep in her carseat as we drove to the resort.

We arrived and immediately headed up to our room. The accommodations were perfect and they brought up a Pack N' Play for her.

We kept expecting someone to crawl for the first time on this trip.
It didn't happen, but she's so close!

The first thing we did was nap and then get read to take Bea to the beach for the first time!

Not sure about this water....

Warming up to it....

Until it came too close!

Now I'm not so sure again....

We moved up to the pool area next and she LOVED that.

The next day we hit the beach right after breakfast.

Our vacation schedule was WONDERFUL. We'd sleep in and let Bea take her first bottle in bed with us. Usually around 7:30 a.m. Then we'd get dressed in our bathing suits and head to the breakfast buffet. I'd feed Bea a container of baby food as soon as we were seated while Matt hit the buffet. By the time he got back, Bea would be finished and I'd head to the buffet. They always had fresh fruit, so I would get Bea some bananas or apple slices while I was getting my food and she'd be content to work that apple slice while Matt and I finished up.

After breakfast we would head to the pool or the beach and play for about 30 minutes.

After playtime, our little Bea would be ready to nap. We'd just cover her with her float sun cover and let her nap by the beach or the pool beds (our resort has awesome mattresses and cabanas for lounging). Matt and I would read and rest. Then she'd wake up after 30-45 minutes ready to play again.

She loved to eat the sand.

After the pre lunch playtime we'd come inside and Bea would be good and ready for her long afternoon nap. Matt and I usually ordered lunch in room and had it delivered. Bea would sleep for a good 2-2 1/2 hours. It helped that we could make the bedroom completely dark with blackout curtains and we also had the AC on super cold.

This is her post nap on Father's Day.

Her Star Wars onesie says: "My Daddy Dresses Me"

Sporting her American PJs.
"Freedom Pajamas"
We happened to be in Mexico during the world cup and watched Mexico vs. Brazil in the round robins.

Sporting her baby bikini on the balcony.

Beezy and Daddy on Father's Day 2014.

The elevators had mirrors on one wall and she LOVED to see the baby in the mirror. She probably thought that baby's parents looked awfully familiar.

Got a little scared.

But Daddy made it better.

We walked down past our resort to another beach area. Here the waves were much bigger.

The sand still tasted the same, though.

Peeking behind on the long walk back with Mommy.

Pool time!

Tasting the pool.

The vacation was everything a vacation should be. We ate, we slept, we swam. And we loved soaking up every second with this sweet little gal.

Pretty sure she enjoyed it too.

Going back with more family in October and we can't wait!!
