First Day - November 8, 2013

Since Bea was born at 12:07 a.m. she had a very full day to celebrate her birth.

After we had some time in the delivery room for recovery the nurses let us bring in my dad, Andrea and Dale. They got to come in and see Bea and snap a few photos for us.

Our first family photo.
Daddy's hands, Bea, and Momma's hands.
Then Bea and I were wrapped up and put in a wheelchair and carried up to our room for the next few days.

Daddy, Andrea and Dale went on ahead of us and waited for us to get settled in the room before coming up.

Once they arrived they were able to hold Bea and welcome her to the world. Pretty incredible that they were able to hold her when she was just a few hours old.

Tired but happy mommy - 11/8/2013
All these photos were taken about 3 a.m.

After a few minutes for visiting and loving on BB the grandparents and aunt headed out to get some rest and Matt and I settled into our first night as parents.

The hospital doesn't bathe the baby for the first 8 hours. They believe the amniotic fluid remaining on the baby is good for the transition from the womb to the world. It smells familiar for baby. So Bea got her first bath the morning of 11/8/2013 - around 8 hours after she was born.

She was a BIG fan. :-)
Her Aunt, Popi, and Mimi came back on Friday for a visit before they left to head back to Alabama.

Jessica came for a visit!

Already a Daddy's Girl.

It was a wonderful first birthday for Sweet Bea.
