Week 8

Week 8

December 28 - January 3, 2014

After a wonderful Christmas we settled in for another week in Alabama to spend with family.

We said "Goodbye" to Daddy on Sunday the 28th. He was heading home to Tampa to get back to work. :-(

That Monday we went to see Great Grandma Burns again.
Bea wore her cute jeans, her furry boots from Popi and her warm hat with a BIG flower.
I LOVE dressing this girl up. She's literally like a fashion doll for me. Bless her.

We celebrated the new year in Birmingham at Aunt Andrea and Uncle Robert's house.

Bea got lots of cuddles and love from them, of course.

We called Daddy and Facetimed with him from B'ham several times.

I got this photo of Bea's eyelashes on the way to do some shopping on New Year's Day.
They're so long!
They're so RED!

Bea took a bath in Aunt Andrea's kitchen sink and LOVED it.

She got to see her Great Aunt Nancy and her cousin Rebekah.

She cheered on the Crimson Tide for their bowl game in her new cheerleader outfit.
They didn't win, but they had the cutest cheerleader EVER cheering for them.

That Friday Bea had her first plane flight.
And Momma had her first flight with a baby.

Thankfully the plane wasn't full so we had an entire row to ourselves in the back of the plane.
Bea did GREAT.
She had a bottle during takeoff and landing to help her ears with the pressure change. She napped and played on the seat beside me.

She even got her own ticket!

I had to do a diaper change in the middle of the flight. I gathered up my things and went all the way to the front of the plane to the potty with the changing table. I got up there and the flight attendants set up the bathroom for me. I had Bea all cleaned up and realized I had forgotten a diaper! I had extra clothes, wipes, socks, etc. and NO diaper. I just stuffed some tissue paper in her onesie and prayed she wouldn't pee before I could get back to the seat. Thank goodness we had a row to ourselves. I rushed back and got the diaper on her and hopefully no one was the wiser! Much better than having to admit to the flight attendants up front what I had forgotten. :-)

Bea also got a pair of wings and a certificate signed by the captain and crew commemorating her first flight.

Daddy picked us up at the airport and we were glad to be back in Tampa. I missed the family already - but was glad to have Bea at home. My girl is getting so big and strong!

8 weeks old.
